Welcome…

November 17, 2015

I never really thought this day would come that I’d be a working artist. Perhaps there was part of me that doubted myself, or that it wasn’t possible, or that I maybe even didn’t deserve it. I always enjoyed art as a kid, but I wrote it off thinking I’d paint on the side. Instead, I traveled the world trying to find that one thing that would give me purpose. I wasn’t one to play by the rules and live a traditional life…or I was just really stubborn. My mother taught me the dauntlessness to go out and get it…”the world is your oyster.” The people I met along the way, the adventures and life lessons I learned, I wouldn’t change for anything. However, there was still something missing that I still felt a disconnection to myself. After knocking on many doors that wouldn’t open, I said screw it, and started painting…a lot. It was more of a healing mechanism for myself as I was frustrated, but the more I painted, the better I felt, and the more the universe opened to opportunities as an artist. Really? I can laugh at just how simple it can be when…YOU ARE YOURSELF. That’s it.

The message here and on my website, and through my art…is to just be you. It took some time for me to learn this lesson, and I’m so glad I did! The biggest gift you can give to yourself and to the world is to be yourself. We all have a gift. If you don’t know what that is yet…just keep exploring, or perhaps just be still for a moment. Reconnect to what is real for you…and go for it.

Much love,

Erin xo

You are the “so much very best” Erin! Your art comes from your soul, your soul is full of light, and that’s how every thing that represents you is amazing!

Your Mama was right, the world is your oyster! As you age, you’ll see your oyster continually morph into new things. Enjoy the ride Erin!

Congratulations Erin on your website. Having just met you this year at the yoga studio I enjoyed reading of your journey to present. Best wishes and I look forward to following you as you continue on your art path. Your artwork is beautiful. I was born and raised in Stockton and never moved away so I admire your commitment to your hometown. Peace and Blessings.

I’ve taken pictures of the sun and moon every day and night for the past eight years for inspiration. While staring at them in total “awe”, all I can say is, “This must be how Erin feels when painting.”

Yeah, Erin! Sending you love and best wishes in Kentucky. We miss you but are thrilled to watch you blossom like the roses you paint! Not that you weren’t a goddess before
